Waxing
The process of waxing involves the application of wax on the desired area, followed by the placement of a canvas strip over the top. The material is then ripped in the opposite direction to the hair growth to ensure the hair follicles are removed most effectively, leaving you with silky smooth skin. This wax can be applied hot or cold as per the choice of the individual.
The hair growth process will take a period of three to six weeks, after which the process should be repeated. Remember that for waxing to work effectively the hair must be at least six millimetres long - any shorter could prove painful for the individual. Popular waxing areas include the legs, underarms and bikini area. It is common to experience some redness and skin irritation after the procedure. Exfoliating the waxed area between sessions can help avoid unpleasant ingrown hairs.

Having multiple areas waxed can be quite expensive, which is why many people choose to do their own waxing at home. Kits are available from most chemists and even supermarkets.
Who is eligible for waxing?
Teens suffering from acne who are on particular medicines may want to skip waxing as their skin can be quite sensitive. People who get frequent sunburns and have moles on their body are advised to not wax as well. Otherwise, basically anyone is a suitable waxing candidate.
